Connie(my wife)and I traveled to Fort boonesborough yesterday for the annual Winter Trade Days.I took along a pile of stuff that I have collected and put out a trade blanket of stuff.I sold some and gave some and traded some.Connie had been searching for a dough bowl for a couple of years and as fate would have it a bowl carver set up beside us.Needless to say Connie is now the very proud owner of a beutifull Buckeye dough bowl. She is very pleased.
This is pretty much the last event of 2009 for Connie and I at Fort Boonesborough. Its a place that I like very much.Bill and Ann Farmer and Phil Grey make every reenactor that comes to the Fort feel appreciated and treated with the utmost respect and grace. Thanks to everyone that plays a part there from the fort staff to the tourist that come through. The Fort is a place and the people there make it what it is,a home away from home as it has been since Boone felled the first log.
